LYLAC
How do people find out about coaching? See below in this video....

FREE Consultation / Taster
You first might want to explore if and how our LYLAC programme can help you. Please feel free to contact one of us and ask any questions you might have. We'll take time and listen to your personal story. It is also a moment to get to know each other and discuss possibilities.
This is a moment to have a taster of what coaching can do for you.

We can imagine that it might be quiet a step to contact one of us. There is also a possibility to talk first to someone who has a personal experience with what we do and what you can expect. Please use the contact form and select "Get in touch with another LYLAC participant" and we will send you a phone number so you can have a chat and ask an ex-participant about our programme.
Groups
The groups are creative, fun and energetic. You concentrate on your own situation, in parallel with others working on theirs. At relevant moments, you will benefit from the vision and experience of others. It's a safe environment where strict confidentiality is demanded and given. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds at any stage of life.
It consists of 6 coaching mornings of 3 hrs each with a group of minimum 6 and maximum 10 participants (more details here). If you can't make it during the day and are interested to have the group experience, please contact us as we can also arrange evening groups. You can check here to see if you are ready to join this programme.
If this is what you need, please book your place. Any questions, you're welcome to contact one of us!

Individuals
As an Individual you will be coached in a one-to-one setting that can be done face-to-face or over the phone.
The individual coaching will give you a clear view on your current situation, the areas in your life that need change or improvement and an action plan to implement these changes and improvements into your life. This will take about 6 coaching sessions at £55 per session (funding by e.g. your employer might well be possible or you could try to apply for a grant).
Note: the £55 is actually not the price you pay for the hour, it is the investment you make for your personal achievemnt and the outcomes the programme will give you.

The individual service might fit better in a busy (work)life. It is also more accessible for people living in remote areas or for those who might not have the energy to make the journeys, as this can be done over the phone.
If you're not sure if you're ready for this, check this. If you notice that something is stopping you to take a next step but you don't know what it is, read this.
Any questions? Please contact one of us.

One-day Workshops
We are also offering a one-day LYLAC workshop for groups of cancer survivors.
During this day we will cover a selection of topics that we normally use in our group journey but at a more superficial level. The aim of this day is to create space for sharing experiences, to create awareness about the impact of cancer, and to make an action plan to take home to support each individual in “their next step”. Focus is to keep it light hearted and fun. More information here.
The next one-day workshop is:

Tuesday 2nd July 2013,
Macmillan Cancer Support Centre
Queen Alexandra Hospital
Portsmouth
PO6 3LY
10:00 - 16:00

There will be more one-day workshops in the September - November timeframe this year (2013) in cooperation with Macmillan Cancer Support based in Southampton General Hospital and the Macmillan Information Centre located in the Southampton Library.
Read more about what people say about these one-day workshops.....
Maybe you can find enough people interested for a one-day workshop yourself; in your local community, in the organisation where you work, in your (women) networks. We can join our forces and we'll come to you.

Cancer Follow-up Clinics
As of 1st of April 2013, when the NHS starts their new way of working, GP's will have a new and different role related to cancer survivorship. They will be your first point of contact for your questions related to after effects of your treatment but also how you are doing (related to moods, home situation, work, relationships).
Our Cancer Follow-up Clinics will support the GP's in this new role, as they will be able to refer you to these one-day clinics where you have all day to learn about the impact of cancer on your life, what you want to change/improve and how you can do this. It is also a good opportunity to connect to others in a similar situation and to learn that you're not on your own.
Ask your GP about these Cancer follow-up Clinics or contact one of us.

Tele-coaching
Because of several requests we are developing a tele-coaching service where you can follow our LYLAC programme from home at your own pace. Maybe for you the written word is the way you think. You like the time to ponder exactly what you want to say, and the time to digest what's been said. You can extract all of the meaning from the text - read and re-read. File for later and re-visit. In the process of reading and writing, you can find full understanding and gain new insights. All you need is a computer with Internet access, an email address and a phone for any questions. Find out more....

Webinars
Under development at the moment are monthly "webinars" where we will cover the most common challenges that cancer survivors face after finishing primary treatment. This will enable you to connect to others in the same boat and learn from each other's experiences, to learn, to share from your safe private environment. More to come soon...
